10-December 2019 Scottsdale AZ Happy to be done long hauling for awhile. 2500 from  Avon to our friend Mary's house near downtown. Nice to spend time with friends and Miss Gwen Stefani. Found some culture at a Bill Frisell/Julian Lage show. After  a week on the road we finally make it back on the trail with a little hike at the Phoenix Sonoran Preserve.   Ocotillo

7 Dec 2019 El Paso Tx We're getting closer to a driving respite in Scottsdale. But miles and miles of West Texas lie between us and Arizona. So we just keep our foot on the throttle and our compass pointed west. Wonder what D.Boone Hodge would say.  Texas Fast food Lebanese food in El Paso Must be Arizona!

6-Dec-2019 Fort Worth Texas We've pretty much been hammer down from Avon to Texas the last couple of days. We met up with our friends from Kansas and made the great wood exchange. 3 December 2019 Avon NC This blog begins in 2019, early for the winters trip. This year we hope to spend the majority of our time around a single place. Tucson Arizona. We've got a few side travels but we'll locate a home base in Tucson and mostly work from there. We're toting a uhaul with us on the way out. Bob finally cleaned out most of the furniture wood from the barn at the farm in Croom Md. Its going to live in Kansas for the time being. Good friends Mark and Becky will be looking after it for awhile. Hoping Mark makes some nice things with it. Anyway, we're not planning on too many nights in the gunship either. We may do a few here and there but it will be mostly civilized living for  us. Off we go The gunship loaded up and ready to leave Avon
